June 2002: BILDERBERG 2002

Members of a trans-Atlantic elite of globalists and power-brokers held their annual meeting at the beginning of June in a fortified hotel near Washington, USA.  How to combine the Euro and the Dollar into a single global currency was one of the items discussed by 120 A-list proponents of the New World Order.

The Bilderberg Group - named after Prince Bernard's hotel where the group first met in 1954 - took over the entire Westfields Marriott Hotel in Chantilly, Virginia for the weekend of 31st May to 3rd June.  The location, just seven miles south of Dulles airport, was chosen because of safety fears about venues in Europe expressed by the large American contingent.

NEWS BLACKOUT
Leading newspaper editors and owners are always present at Bilderberg meetings, but the events are never reported.  The news blackout is total; apart from a few sycophantic articles and the odd maverick, who is quickly dealt with.  Those attending are bound by the 'Chatham House rules' of the Royal Institute for International Affairs not to disclose where they picked up the latest line on Iraq or whatever is discussed. 

PRIVATE, NOT SECRET
Such evasion does not help the Bilderbergers' claim that their meetings are 'not secret, just private.'  Wives may not attend, nor the husbands of the handful of women who have attended.  The VIP's own security personnel are accommodated elsewhere.  Staff at the Westfields Marriott Hotel were claiming the hotel had been booked for wedding parties only hours before the elite participants arrived.  In 2000, the Chateau du Lac Hotel venue at Genval near Brussels was supposedly holding an international croquet tournament.

Tony Gosling, a Christian researcher who has published extensively on the Bilderbergers, writes:

"When such rich and powerful people meet up in secret, with military intelligence managing their security, with hardly a whisper escaping of what goes on inside, people are right to be suspicious.  But the true power of Bilderberg comes from the fact that participants are in a bubble, sealed off from reality and the devastating implications on the ground of the black-science economic solutions on the table.

GLOBALISATION
"No, it's not a 'conspiracy'.  The world's leading financiers and foreign policy strategists don't get together at Bilderberg to draw up their 'secret plans for the future'.  It's more subtle than that. These meetings create an artificial 'consensus' in an attempt to spellbind visiting politicians and other men of influence.  Blair has fallen for this hook, line and sinker.  It's about reinforcing - often to the very people who are on the edge of condemning Globalisation - the illusion that Globalisation is 'good', 'popular' and that it's inevitable.

"Bilderberg is an extremely influential lobbying group. That's not to say though that the organisers don't have a hidden agenda, they do, namely accumulation of wealth and power into their own hands whilst explaining to the participants that globalisation is for the good of all. It is also a very good forum for 'interviewing' potential future political figures such as Clinton (1991) and Blair (1993).

"The ideology put forward at the Bilderberg conferences is that what's good for banking and big business is good for the mere mortals of the world. Silently banished are the critical voices, those that might point out that debt is spiralling out of control, that wealth is being sucked away from ordinary people and into the hands of the faceless corporate institutions, that millions are dying as a direct result of the global heavyweight Rockefeller/Rothschild economic strategies."

AGENDA
Part of the agenda of the 2002 conference centred on the kind of grooming for office carried out on Tony Blair, Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher (the Bilderberg bankers loved her when she was privatising, but got rid of her after her Bruges speech) and Jimmy Carter.  The Dutch politician Mat Herben, a freemason and the new top man in the late Pim Fortuyn's now-rising party, was given the treatment this year, to try to neutralise any right-wing threat.  The press and radio in the Netherlands kept very quiet about his true whereabouts over the weekend, when coalition talks were supposed to be happening.

There were some divisions in the meeting this year about war in Iraq, generally not over if, but when.  (Previous meetings inspired the Gulf War and the illegal NATO bombing of Kosovo.)  The American contingent were advised not to begin any action against Saddam Hussein until next year, which will in truth suit their military, who simply are not yet ready.  Also in contention were the trade tariffs President Bush has imposed on steel imports; the Europeans are outraged at this setback to world free trade. 

KYOTO IRRITATION
American rejection of the idea of an International Criminal Court has annoyed the Europeans, whilst President Bush's opposition to the Kyoto Treaty on global climate control is another source of irritation.  The USA's thinly-veiled support for the state of Israel is yet another point of disagreement.  The American contingent were on the back foot over these issues, and their bankers and oil-men had to defend the difficulty of bringing such measures into the realm of political reality. 

There was agreement in the Bilderberg meeting about the need to introduce global taxation payable direct to the United Nations; the introduction of a world government which the elite will dominate is a long-held dream.  The International Court will be needed then, and perhaps the USA will by that time have a new president.  NATO will continue to increase its actions as a 'world policeman', bypassing the unreliable UN Security Council.  The meeting also agreed to use the 'war on terrorism' to introduce further draconian powers of detention and increase surveillance of ordinary citizens in their respective countries. 

MONETARY UNION
On the European front, the meeting's multi-national industrialists bemoaned the Irish referendum result on the Treaty of Nice, and what to do if the Irish fail to get it right next time.  The Irish contingent were left in no doubt what is expected.  Britain must also join the Euro to complete that particular part of the jigsaw.  European enlargement and the next steps towards political and military union were also on the agenda. 

As the biggest dream of the Bilderberg group remains global governance, global monetary union is an essential step in the process.  It is no co-incidence that the Euro was introduced at a value close to that of the American dollar.  It is currently trading at between 94 and 95 cents.  When Britain has joined, runs the thinking, and Sterling is abolished, the value of the Euro will rise to the point where it can be 'pegged' to the Dollar, to create a de-facto trans-Atlantic single currency.  Of course the Yen will eventually have to come in too, and if necessary a crisis would be engineered in Japan to accomplish the deed.

THE PLAYERS
According to Jim Tucker, of the American Free Press, who usually manages to discover the Bilderberg venues and participants before anyone else, those attending the conference this year included Irish Fine Gael MP and former prime minister John Bruton, the EU Commissioner Paschal Lamy, President of the World Bank James Wolfensohn, US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, and of course the Bilderberg leader David Rockefeller of Chase Manhattan Bank. 

The UK contingent included industrialist Michael Pragmill, Lord Robertson (since 1971 the post of Secretary-General of NATO has always been a Bilderberg appointment, and Robertson is also Joint President of the Royal Institute of International Affairs), Eric Roll of bankers UBS Warburg, who is a member of the powerful Bilderberg Steering Committee,  Lord Weatherill, and Conrad Black, now Lord Black of Crossharbour. 

The latter has not only declared his membership of the Bilderberg Steering Committee in the House of Lords Register (as indeed has Lord Roll) and his positions as Director of Hollinger, which owns the Telegraph Group, and Director of the Centre for Policy Studies, but also his membership of four other globalist bodies: the Institute for International Economics, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the Council on Foreign Relations (which is said to run the USA), and the Trilateral Commission (qv).

TRILATERAL LINK
Whilst the Bilderberg Group is trans-Atlantic, its younger brother, the Trilateral Commission, includes Japanese and Pacific-rim members.  (There are no members from the middle-east or from Israel, only a few from Eastern Europe, just one member from Mexico, and absolutely no-one from Africa.)   The Trilateral Commission met this year from 5th to 8th April in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington DC.  The agenda overlapped with that of the Bilderberg meeting. 

According to Ellen Sorokin of the Washington Times, the conference planned to discuss "the global response to the September 11 terrorist attacks, the United States' foreign policy and the situation in the Middle East."  With ex-speaker of the US Congress Tom Foley in the chair, Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan was scheduled to report on "the Islamic world's contribution to globalization," and World Trade Organisation Director-General Mike Moore was scheduled to lead a panel discussion on "the problems of developing countries' implementing the WTO agreements."

HIGH-RANKING
Like the Bilderberg Group, the Trilaterals are from the A-list elite.  It is slightly more open than the Bilderberger Group, inasmuch as it has a website, and publishes the names of its directors, and does not seal off an entire hotel.  Nevertheless, all Trilateral meetings and panel discussions are still closed to the public.  Two hundred and fifty high-ranking bankers, industrialists, media people and politicians were present.  A leaked list of names says that those attending this year included David Rockefeller and Madeleine Albright, Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of State Colin L. Powell, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld, Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Sadako Ogata, (representing the prime minister of Japan) the ubiquitous Peter Sutherland and former head of the U.S. Federal Reserve Board Paul Volcker.

The British Government were represented at arms length by Labour ex-ministers Lord Simon of Highbury and Lord Gilbert, and the Opposition by Francis Maude, MP.  Other British attendees included Lord Black, Robin Buchanan, Tristan (Lord) Garel-Jones, General Lord Guthrie of bankers NM Rothschild, Bill Emmott of the Economist, Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, Lord Brittan, Lord Owen and Sir Martin Sorrell. 

FRANCIS MAUDE
The presence of Francis Maude illustrates an interesting point.  Mr Maude used to be Shadow Foreign Secretary, but is not part of Iain Duncan Smith's team.  Trilateral politician members have usually held high public office before, and remain well-connected, but their main qualification for membership appears to be enthusiasm for globalism and state (or super-state) control of our lives.  Mr Maude was probably representing HM Opposition as the Elite would prefer it, in other words, euro-enthused, and with Kenneth Clarke as leader.

Since the Trilateral meeting, Mr Maude appears to have teamed up with Michael Portillo to criticise the Conservatives and Mr Duncan-Smith for not moving fast enough to select more female and ethnic minority candidates.  Whether Mr Maude is genuine in trying to move his party more to the left, or is instead trying to destabilise it and make it even more unattractive to its erstwhile supporters is open to question. 

EVENTS PLANNED
With access to such an array of the well-connected, it is not surprising that the inner circle of Bilderberg, running both groups, not to mention the American Council on Foreign Relations, are able to influence and even to control world events.  It is common knowledge that they brought down Margaret Thatcher, because Edward Heath boasted as much, and brought about the meteoric rise of Jimmy Carter, Tony Blair and Bill Clinton.  The Balkan conflict was convenient for their sphere of influence, as, frankly, was the Afghan incursion.  The European Union was planned at Bilderberg meetings, and virtually nothing happens in the world today without having been orchestrated by those whom Will Hutton of the Observer described as "The High Priests of Globalisation"

SETBACKS
Public opinion also gets in the way, as in Ireland, when the anti-vote for Nice took the globalists by surprise, with British opposition to the EURO, and with American resentment of big government.  The Green Party in Ireland and in the EU are asking too many questions, which is putting Bilderbergers like Jacques Santer, Romano Prodi, a host of Commissioners and the new President of the Parliament Pat Cox MEP on the defensive.  Silvio Berlusconi's rise in Italy was not part of the plan, and the Agnelli family, who own FIAT, were assigned by the 2001 conference to trip him up.  The rise of Jean-Marie le Pen, with his anti-EU, anti-immigration and pro-family policies will have sent shock-waves through this year's gathering. 

Nor does everything happen fast enough for them; President George Bush's dream of 'Global 2000' driven by his 'Thousand points of light' (illuminist masonic lodges) now looks a long way back.  After the 2001 conference, an inside source said: "Bilderberg is really dazed; they thought by now the EU would be a full super-state with nation states obsolete.  Now they are afraid the whole agenda could unravel."  But despite the setbacks, the agenda is remorseful and incremental, on track but delayed, and the architects of the New World Order, with their fortunes behind them, have the patience to see their project through.

HE SHALL LAUGH
It would be easy to feel intimidated by the huge resources of the globalists, but the realisation that this battle is as much spiritual as political should encourage us.  The kingdom of hell is being enlarged but at the same time the spirit of Antichrist is heading for defeat.  The risen, ascended, glorified Lord Jesus Christ is on His throne.  Almighty God will not put up with the arrogance of the globalists for long.  We know from Psalm 2 that God will bring down their corrupt, fascist New World Order just as He did every previous attempt in history.  David Rockefeller or whoever succeeds him will leave no more of a name for himself than did Nimrod at the Tower of Babel.  A day is coming when all his riches will be worthless. 

Our challenge is to discern the mind of God, and pray the sort of prayers that will be answered at the Throne of Grace.  We know that Almighty God is not impressed by wealth or stature; He is no respecter of persons.  He is impressed more by the simple, fervent prayer of united, humble hearts.  He cares for justice and mercy and for the honour of His Name and His Word. 

He has divided the nations and set their national boundaries for the same purpose as He separated the office of priest from that of king: to limit their powers.  He demands that earthly rulers recognise His majesty and serve their people with humility.  He calls woe on those who accumulate wealth and property and those who overturn His righteous laws.   He is terrible to the princes of the earth.

FOOTNOTE:
July 2002: RUMSFELD THE PEACEMAKER
India and Pakistan were rattling sabres in earnest whilst the Bilderberger meeting was being held over the weekend of the 1st/2nd June.  Why then did the assembled Elite have no worries that a nuclear holocaust was about to be unleashed?  It was expressed as a simple certainty in the meeting that there would be no Indo-Pakistan war.  How did they know?  And why was it that after a couple of visits by various foreign statesmen, culminating in that of Donald Rumsfeld, the US Secretary of State for Defense, the warring neighbours suddenly became mollified, with India even allowing Pakistan to over-fly its airspace?

The strange answer appears to be that the financiers who run the Elite decided that there were too many risks to their interests should India and Pakistan begin serious hostilities.  Bankers usually like wars, because they can lend to both sides and make money whoever wins.  However, the nuclear dimension seems to have frightened them, and Rumsfeld & Co were dispatched quite simply to tell the Indians and Pakistanis to back off, or lose all their loans and aid packages.

As Benjamin Disraeli wrote in 'Coningsby', events in the world are organised by personages quite different from those you thought.
