We live in challenging yet interesting times…as much as the Church yearns for ‘times of refreshment’ and ’spiritual awakening’ we cannot ignore the reality that this nation is under judgment. None of us could fail to feel a mixture of sadness, frustration and anger as we look at what is becoming of our nation today. Britain is getting daily more brutal and godless while attacks on the Christian faith, the church and individual believers are increasing. It could be that the shaking of this nation, the end of the debt-fuelled paradise and free-market fundamentalism will bring about a new and desperate openness to the Gospel. BUT the big question is; Is the Church in it’s present state ready to be all that it should be?

LETTERS AND DECLARATIONS TO THE QUEEN AND PRIME MINISTER
LETTERS AND DECLARATIONS TO THE QUEEN AND PRIME MINISTER
On Monday July 13th a delegation made up of the March of Repentance Committee presented a personal letter and declaration at the door of No. 10 Downing Street, which we were assured would go straight to the Prime Minister’s office. When a response has been received the contents will be published on the web site. A letter and appeal was also sent to Her Majesty the Queen, regarding the condition of Church and Nation.
THE MARCH OF REPENTANCE MISSION STATEMENT
To enable the Body of Christ, in whatever country it is situated, to be no longer silent in its ministry of loving our neighbour as ourselves, particularly within the areas of prayer and supplication towards those who are in authority, both locally and nationally. The objective, through God’s grace and mercy, is to build righteous law, and facilitate personal reconciliation with God the Father through God the Son, Jesus Christ.
As darkness grows in a world that is increasingly becoming centralised politically, the Bride of Christ is under a growing threat of co-ordinated international subjugation. Our Lord’s words that the church should be one (John 17:21) now has an interpretation impossible in previous generations to comprehend. In the context of loving our neighbour Jesus has given us already the tools to combat these threats, in order to avoid unnecessary suffering, and prevent the Gospel light being unnecessarily dimmed.
Prayer for those in authority (1 Tim 2:1-3), whether at a local or national level, is not an option but a necessity if the Christian church is to enjoy any authority and peacefulness within communities of discord and hatred . Also the declaration of righteous ways gives acceptable wisdom to some in authority, even though to others it is a portent of judgment (2 Peter 6b). We then have responsibilities as salt and light (Matt.5:13-16) toward those appointed by the Lord as ‘ministers of God’ over us (Rom.13:1-4), and if wicked laws are applied within our nation because the church has been silent in its witness, it could be a consequence of failing to be watchmen (Ez.33:1-9)?
This is no time for apathy. Judgment has already commenced on both Church and State within the United Kingdom, To bring about change its therefore essential to change attitudes of committed Christians everywhere. Prayer walks and solemn assemblies are one means the Lord has ordained for strengthening the Body, but this is not enough, although the prayerful interest and commitment within other countries indicates this is the starting point. But there is the need for teaching and training in prayer and witness in order to be effective across the international body of Christ.
The March of Repentance in Trafalgar Square is therefore not a statement at one point in time, but rather is a dynamic continuous ministry, an international marching for repentance calling His people back to the Word of God within the confines of its unique ministry.

COMPROMISE

LACK OF INTEREST

MISPLACED HOPE

CHURCHIANITY
William Booth (Founder of The Salvation Army) when asked to comment about the issues confronting Britain at the turn of the century said:-
- There will be religion without the Holy Spirit
- There will be Christianity without Christ
- There will be forgiveness without repentance
- There will be salvation without regeneration
- There will be politics without God
- Heaven without Hell!
It’s vital that the Church finds its voice again and puts the hope of Christ back at the centre of society.
“Now Glory be to God. By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to do infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.” Eph3:20
